ना मैं मोमन विच मसीतां, ना मैं विच कुफ़र दीआं रीतां
ना मैं पाकां विच पलीतां, ना मैं मूसा ना फरऔन

I am not a believer standing in the mosque. I am not lost in the rituals of disbelief. I am not among the pure. I am not among the impure. I am neither Moses nor Pharaoh.
I am not found in the Vedas or the scriptures. I am not in intoxication or in sobriety. I am not among the wanderers or the settled.
I am not in joy. I am not in sorrow. I am neither water, nor earth, nor fire, nor air.

History & Devotion
Hazrat Bulleh Shah (1680–1757) was a Punjabi Sufi mystic and poet born in Uch Gilanian, Punjab. He was a student of the Qadiri Sufi order and a devoted disciple of his spiritual master Shah Inayat. His poetry dissolves the boundaries of religion, caste, and identity — leaving only love, only truth, only the Divine. He is considered the greatest Punjabi Sufi poet of the Indian subcontinent.
