Meaning of the Lyrics
People go to Mecca on pilgrimage — my Ranjha, my Beloved, is my Mecca. I am mad with love. I have surrendered to Ranjha alone. My own family pushes me away. Pilgrims go toward Mecca — but in my home lives my Beloved, and that is my Mecca. Among the pilgrims you will find the devoted and also the thief. I will go to Takht Hazara — wherever my Beloved turns, that is my Kaaba. Open all four scriptures — the truth is only this.
